The Forbidden Series
What we grew up learning we could not express, painted anyway.
The idea
We all grew up inside patterns we never chose. Psychology calls them schemas.
Schema psychology maps eighteen of them, in five families: the fear of being left, the sense of never being enough, the reflex to put everyone else first, the rule that feelings stay inside. They form early, they run deep, and most of them are never said out loud. That silence is the forbidden.
Every piece in this series takes one schema and gives it a body, in ink, charcoal and gold. 8 of the eighteen are painted so far. The series continues until they all are.
